DeJuan Groce ’98

All-American defensive back by Parade, Super Prep and the National Recruiting Advisor.

All-State honors from the Associated Press.

Holds school record for the longest touchdown reception (90 yards) .

Coach John Heffernan ’84

Legendary (21 Years) Wrestling Coach (18 State Championships) (3 National Championships).

John was also inducted into the Athletic Hall of Fame in 2000 for his accomplishments as a student-athlete.  

Joe Hornik ’75

All-Ohio in Football.

Samuel J. Neider ’94

Wrestling State Champion:  1993 and 1994

Timothy G. Pellman ’98

Member of the 1998 OHSAA State Baseball Championship Team.

Went 9-0 during the 1998 Baseball season .

Chris Schmidt ’98

Member of the 1998 OHSAA State Baseball Championship Team.

St. Edward High School homerun record holder with 26 homeruns.

1998 Player of the Year on The Plain Dealer Cuyahoga County All-Star Baseball Team.

Coach Greg Urbas

Legendary (23 Years) Wrestling Coach (18 State Championships) (3 National Championships).

Ohio Wrestling Coaches Association Hall of Fame Member.

James Zucali ’60

Football Team Captain and Most Valuable Player.

Played football all four years – both offense and defense.
